The base cost of a California Casita will be about $64,000. Total projects costs will be higher and include building plans and permit fees, site and foundation work, utility connections, installing the unit, and any additional interior and exterior options you may want to add.

BOXABL Casita’s are protected by a valuable one year manufacturer’s warranty and a 7 year extended warranty program through HomeCare Plus. In addition, each appliance comes with a manufacturers warranty.
BOXABL Casita’s will typically be installed within 30 days following the receipt of all necessary permits and local approvals. Each project will have its own characteristics whereby some may install sooner and others later due to weather delays and job site complexities.
California state regulations require that all factory-built buildings be sold and installed by a licensed dealer, installer, and general contractor. Currently, there is no DIY option available.
Yes, the California Department of Housing and Community Development requires Casitas to have a site-built roof. The good news is BOXABL has completed the design and engineering for several roof designs that have been approved by the state.
